Carbon Steel WPHY End Cap Fittings are frequently used at cryogenic temperatures due to their high durability and limited magnetic permeability. They are commonly utilized to contain small components in tube racks, fans, baskets, and trays. Known for their ease of manufacturing, these fittings are a high carbon adaptation designed for improved creep resistance. With a lower fusing point compared to non-alloyed steels, they require bonding with less heat input. Composed of nickel and chromium, these fittings are effective in reducing environments containing sulfur and can withstand a maximum dry air operating temperature of 1100 degrees Celsius.
