Stainless Steel UNS N08904 Slip On Flanges gives enhanced stress rupture and creep qualities that may be tested for people who are concerned about inter-granular corrosion and sensitization. It's found in exhaust manifolds and chemical manufacturing equipment. This steel is also used in high temperature gaskets, expansion joints, and rocket engine components. It is widely used in the petroleum refining industry. In the annealed state, it is virtually non-magnetic and can only be toughened by cold working. It has a greater carbon content and has better high temperature and creep qualities. It is a chromium alloy used in applications that need corrosion and heat resistance.
