This alloy's corrosion resistance is not significantly different in moderately corrosive situations at typical ambient temperatures. Because of the chemical temperament, Inconel UNS N06625 Socket Weld Cap Fittings is typically more costly. It is recommended that this steel be utilised if intergranular corrosion in the heat affected zone is possible. It has a maximum carbon concentration of 0.03%, which can be translated as "very little carbon." The first reflects the quantity of chromium present, and the second the amount of nickel. It is resistant to most oxidising agents and will endure normal corrosion, but this does not indicate that it will not tarnish with time.
